About Us

What Is The CSC?

Created, owned and operated by its members, the Canadian Stroke Consortium (CSC) was established in 1993 and incorporated as a non-profit organization in 1996. Today, we are the national professional association for physicians interested in stroke. Our associate members are colleagues who represent other disciplines involved in stroke prevention and treatment. Together, we are committed to reducing the burden of stroke through the translation of clinical research into clinical practice.

Many of our members are leaders in Canadian and international stroke research, education, and clinical practice. Through collaboration with other medical professional organizations and the pharmaceutical industry, we lead the design and implementation of clinical research activities and educational initiatives that contribute to reducing the burden of stroke on Canadians.
